Love Your Brain Yoga
A bump on the head frequently is not JUST a bump on the head. A tramatic brain injury (TBI) can come from a car wreck when your head doesn't hit anything, just moves from the force of the incident. It can also come from an external blow to the head the may put the person in a coma. My family has experienced both of these. Any injury no matter how mild may affect your ability to speak or say complete sentences if they are concious. They can have a loss of memory befor or after the injury. Neurologic issues such as muscle weakness, balance or vision. They may seem confused, disoriented, slow thinking and difficulty concentrating. We use research based techniques to improve the lives of those who have experienced a TBI. It is also an opportunity to be around others who just get it with no explainations. Many of my classes are TBI appropriate.
